Who We Are

Sunrise Church is a passionate and genuine faith community serving Rogers City, Presque Isle County, Northern Michigan, and beyond. We are relaxed and come-as-you-are, with open arms and thankful hearts—ready to serve and welcome everyone. Whether we’re handing out popcorn in the park or coffee in our church lobby, you’ll experience spontaneous laughter, authentic relationships, and genuine love.

We don’t go to church – we ARE the church! We live, serve, laugh, worship & grow together as good friends and family.

What We Believe

Sunrise Church is relationally connected and biblically aligned with the Michigan Ministry Network and the Assemblies of God . Our message is sacred, but our methods are flexible. We hold firmly to a historic, Bible-centered Christian faith and live a Spirit-empowered life of worship, mission, and community.

Jesus & Salvation

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God—our Savior and King. Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, restored, and invited to walk with Him in a lifelong journey of faith.

The Bible & The Spirit

We believe the Bible is true and trustworthy — cover to cover — serving as our final authority. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to live, love, and serve like Jesus in everyday life.

The Church & Our World

We believe the Church is people, not a building. We are called to love God & our neighbors, make disciples, serve the vulnerable, and boldly bring the hope of Jesus to our city and the world.
